I am silent I sit here with a fake smile I sit here and wait for the call to action I sit and wait, that's what I do Should I wait for you too? I sit and see what they want me to I sit and answer what they told me to I sit like the good girl they want me to be When can I stand and be free? The Sleep night time rest you are my greatest foe coming and going in highs and lows unable to stay for more than an hour leaving me to wilt like a dying flower. now and then I see a glimpse of thee and then you suddenly up and leave. your gentle touch remains in the air yet no trace of you in my lair. like a scorned lover you leave never giving up the restful eve. but tonight you come back to me to lay me down, let my mind free. the soft whisper of you in my ear never once letting out a snear. the nightly rest flows like a stream and at long last I can finaly dream.
